Is there a grid or a screen on the speaker face? Is it visible
in normal installations?
There is a screen designed to protect the speaker
cone from mechanical damage. Since the speaker is located in the
bottom of the speaker unit, it is not visible unless the speaker
is inverted.
What
are the dimensions of the speakers? Weight, size etc
Each speaker is roughly 18" in diameter and about
12" high. The weight of the speaker is approximately 10 pounds.
Is
the sound directional? Does it come out of holes in the top of
the speaker?
The sound is not directional. There are no holes in
the upper shell. The sound is produced under the unit and will
produce quality sound in a full 360 degrees.
Describe
the installation process. ?
The speakers are connected in the same manner as any
standard home stereo system with detachable speakers. Installation
instructions are supplied with the speakers.
Is
the sound quality hollow or box like?
We spent a long time designing the shape of the speaker
to provide a rich and clean quality and have succeeded in avoiding
the hollow box like sound. Depending on the surface the speaker
is sitting on, the tones may vary slightly, but can be easily
corrected using the stereo systems base and treble controls.
What
are the temperature and weather limitations of the speakers? Can
they withstand our climate?
The speakers are designed to be weather resistant
to average outdoor climates. Although they are capable of remaining
outdoors continuously it is not recommended that they be immersed
in water or subjected to high power operation in freezing temperatures.
It is therefore advisable to store the speakers indoors during
periods of flooding and during winter periods where the outdoor
temperature is below freezing with moderate to heavy snow fall.
